The words describe me (or are supposed to) and the images express the things that I subconsciously gravitate towards. Half the birds are flying up and half are upside down, creating a physical infographic illustrating the delicate juncture the population is at. We oscillate between virtual enlightenment and our realities _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This project explores anamorphic projection. A techique first used in Renaissance paintings called anamorphosis allows the possibility of planes in differant dimensions to coincide by utilizing the shape of our eye and the habits of our mind. My degree project plays with this technique out of Renaissance context and into a new technological space. Anamorphosis allows the 2-d (virtual) to live on top of the 3-d(matter/physical) space in an analog medium. These explorations start to get at the temporary tension between virtual and physical realities moving from oscillating to oneness.
